Santander changes LaLiga 1|2|3 for SmartBank

LaLiga and Banco Santander renew the second division of Spanish football for the 2019/20 season. LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3 will be renamed SmartBank for the next two years. This change will take effect on August 17, when the first date of the tournament begins.

SmartBank is a service of the Spanish bank for young people between 18 and 31 years old. With this change of name, the financial institution seeks to give more popularity to this sector aimed at a younger audience that offers services and initiatives in terms of employment, education and entrepreneurship. Banco Santander has been a sponsor of LaLiga since the 2016/17 season and will continue to be so until 2020/21.
