Premier League, the contest that spent the most money in the pass market
The pass market in the old continent came to an end. With the soap opera of Neymar Jr. as the axis of this period, the main clubs in Europe are preparing for a season full of sporting challenges.
Analyzing league by league, the Premier League once again demonstrates its power by placing itself as the contest that invested the most. According to the Transfermarkt site, the English contest registered 1.55 billion euros in purchases. Without big names but with a lot of variety, the 20 clubs that make up this tournament manage to make important acquisitions thanks to the couple sharing money there.
In terms of sales, the Premier League is placed in fourth place. Taking into account that many of the movements can be internal, the English tournament suffered the departure of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid for a value greater than one hundred million euros, as well as that of Romelu Lukaku to Inter for 75 million euros.
Behind the Premier League, is La Liga Santander. The Spanish contest culminated this period of transfers with an investment 1.32 billion euros. With Hazard's arrival in Real Madrid and the transfer of Antoine Griezmann from Atlético de Madrid to Barcelona, the Iberians continue to consolidate their tournament with the help of leading figures.
