Philadelphia 76ers to build a new stadium

Philadelphia 76ers, a basketball team that plays in the NBA, announced that they will have a new stadium and it will cost 1,300 million dollars. Work is expected to begin within several years and the project will be completed in time for the 2031-2032 season. The owners of the club, Josh Harris and David Blitzer, announced that the field will be located in a busy area of downtown Philadelphia with shops and entertainment venues.

With this announcement, the project will generate 1,900 million in production and will employ up to 9,000 people. Once built, the figures will be around 400 million and 1,000 jobs per year. Also, it will stop sharing a stadium with the ice hockey team, the Flyers; since its owner owns part of the Wells Fargo Center, current establishment of both.

"We are committed to building a world-class home in the heart of the city and creating a privately funded stadium that strengthens ties within the local community through investments that prioritize equity, inclusion and accessibility," said Josh.
