Omega launches two commemorative watches for Tokyo 2020
Although it seemed far away, Tokyo 2020 is just around the corner and the main sponsors begin to beat the Olympic event. After opening the official clock with the countdown to the beginning of the event, Omega presented part of its watch collection "Tokyo 2020 Limited Editions". The two releases have only 2,020 pieces each for sale but commercial values were not disclosed. Remember that the association between Omega and the IOC dates back to Los Angeles in 1932, which makes the Swiss brand one of the oldest partners.
The first model was called "Seamaster Aqua Terra", which, as the name implies, was operated identically in water and on land. The model presents the first ceramic sphere of the collection, made with a polished blue finish and Tokyo 2020 Olympic emblem engraved with laser. The watch still features a structured blue rubber strap in the original version, but also includes an additional stainless steel strap in its special case. It has the 8900 Caliber Master Chronometer movement, which offers the highest level of precision and magnetic resistance in the Swiss industry.
The second is the "Seamaster Planet Ocean", which has a kind of Japanese pisca, with a white background and the second hand with a small red circle, alluding to the colors and the flag of the country. Its structure is made of stainless steel and includes a white ceramic bezel with its Omega Liquidmetal diving scale. In honor of Tokyo 2020, the number 20 on the edge is full of red liquid ceramic.
