McDonald's to feature its logo on an NBA star's sneakers
The fast-food giant has signed a collaboration partnership with Nike and Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.
The collection features two designs co-created by the basketball player and the brand, sporting a turquoise colorway with a unique backstory.
The famous "golden arches" appear in turquoise as a tribute to the city of Sedona, Arizona—the only place in the world where a McDonald's branch is prohibited from using yellow due to local ordinances protecting the desert landscape.
The main design features a sand-colored base with the logo and accents in turquoise, set to hit shelves on June 2. Additionally, a limited-edition version with inverted colors will be raffled exclusively through the McDonald's app.
This is not the first time McDonald's takes center stage on footwear in the premier basketball league: in 2020, the company collaborated with Adidas and Damian Lillard on a model inspired by its chicken nuggets packaging.
