McDonald´s adds to the solidarity actions of football clubs

The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has left thousands of families vulnerable. Weakening the financial system and forcing hundreds of companies or businesses to lower their blinds, the increase in people on the street has caused clubs to show their social side and become emotional and food support, providing them with a plate of food.

Due to this situation, McDonald´s expands its social aid and joins the solidarity actions of Racing Club and Independiente. The two largest clubs in Avellaneda, leave behind their football rivalry and wear the same shirt, and together with the chain's donation of more than 19 kilos of food, they can give a nutritious diet to hundreds of families. In addition, McDonald's maintains its donations to three sponsored picnic areas, one in Barrio 31, another in Barrio Sarmiento de San Martín and the last in Barrio La Esperanza in San Fernando.

“Since the mandatory social and preventive quarantine began in the country, we have been collaborating and contributing to those who need it most. We understand that this context is very difficult for everyone and we must take advantage of the McDonald’s scale to help those who are in a vulnerable situation. On this occasion, we wanted to accompany the soccer clubs, who have an important role in Argentine society and are doing great solidarity work. We were able to bring them a large number of McCafé products such as croissants, croissants, puddings and sweet cookies that were intended for families who visit the dining rooms they sponsor. It is a great satisfaction to be able to help the community with our grain of sand, and to help when it is most needed, "said Guillermo Córdoba, CEO of McDonald’s Argentina.
