Financial services dominate as main sponsors in Argentine football

As the Apertura of the Professional League kicks off, Marca en Zona takes a look at the sponsor categories for the 30 participating teams.

Over 40% of the clubs (13/30) have a financial services sponsor. This category includes banks (Macro, BSE), loan companies (Rapicuotas, Sur Finanzas, Caja Popular, ESCO), and even an investment app (IEB+, the new sponsor of San Lorenzo).

The second most prominent category is online betting or casino platforms, with 5 clubs. Notable sponsors include Betsson (Boca Juniors), Codere (River Plate), Sportingbet (Independiente), and CityCenter (Newell's and Rosario Central).

Huracán, Banfield, Racing Club, and Talleres are the teams yet to confirm their main sponsor for this season, although Huracán is the only one of the four that went without a sponsor in 2024.

The remaining teams are sponsored by brands from various categories, and no brand is repeated across multiple clubs.
