AT & T becomes technology partner of the NBA
The NBA works every day to renew the experiences of the spectators every time they go to a stadium to see their favorite team. In this opportunity, it reaches an agreement with AT & T that will occupy the position of technological partner and together they plan to explore ways to transform the experience of the fans of the league that are present in the stadiums or watching the games anywhere in the American territory, either by television, or via streaming. In return, the US telecommunications company will have the naming rights of the Slam Dunk Contest in the NBA All-Star 2019, advertising in the presentation of the All-Star Practice and Media Day. After the most anticipated event of the year, AT & T will have its logo in the stadiums of all the franchises and in TV and streaming transmissions.
The association is valid not only with the NBA itself but also with WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K and USA Basketball, a non-profit organization that serves as the main governmental body of basketball in the United States. The company stressed that it wants to use the sponsorship with the purpose of promoting the commercialization of its 5G products, when the technology is available on a large scale. Currently, few cities have the service implemented by AT & T and coincidentally Charlotte is one of them, host of the next All Star Game.
