AFA secures new regional sponsor in Kansas City
Just hours ahead of the team's World Cup debut against Algeria, the governing body of Argentine football has announced a partnership with Price Chopper.
Price Chopper is a supermarket chain operating over 50 locations across Kansas and Missouri. The brand also serves as a sponsor for Sporting KC, the MLS franchise that owns the training facilities currently being used by the Argentine national team.
The agreement capitalizes on the squad's base camp in Kansas and the two Group J matches scheduled to take place there, promising exclusive fan experiences and licensing rights to feature the imagery of the Albiceleste stars.
The deal was signed as a regional partnership within the United States, positioning Price Chopper alongside 13 other brands in the territory. Globally, AFA boasts a portfolio of over 110 sponsorship agreements.
