YouTube will host live 2026 World Cup matches

FIFA has designated the video platform as a "preferred partner" for the upcoming flagship international tournament.

The agreement is focused on broadcast rights holders, who will be provided with new content and promotional tools.

Channels will be able to livestream the first ten minutes of every match, as well as the full 90 minutes of selected fixtures.

Another key feature will be exclusive content on FIFA's official YouTube channel, featuring the complete archive of previous World Cups and a roster of creators from around the globe.

In January, FIFA signed a similar deal with TikTok, a platform that will also offer live matches and other special digital content.
