What is IREN? Real Madrid's newest official sponsor

Los Merengues have finalized a major corporate partnership with the Australian tech infrastructure firm.

Founded in Sydney in 2018, IREN originally operated in the bitcoin mining sector before expanding into AI cloud compute and physical data center operations. Designated as Real Madrid's "Official AI Cloud Partner," the club described the deal as a collaboration between "two organizations committed to community, innovation, and technological progress."

In the sports marketing space, IREN made its high-profile entry as a partner of the NBA's Golden State Warriors. Starting in the 2026/27 season, the company secured the Warriors' left jersey sleeve patch in a deal valued at over $50 million annually.

Real Madrid continues to deepen its commercial footprint within the tech category. Alongside its high-value sleeve agreement with HP, the club maintains active technology partnerships with Adobe, Cisco, and Softtek. IREN represents the club's first corporate partnership specifically centered on artificial intelligence.
