The FIFA World Cup tour begins
The FIFA World Cup is the most important tournament at national team level. Countries from different confederations will play to see who can lift the famous award and be crowned world champions. Prior to the competition that will begin on November 21, Coca-Cola will take the cup to more than 50 countries with the aim of visiting each of the 211 FIFA member associations by 2030. On this trip they will go the Spanish Iker Casillas and the Brazilian Kaká, winners of the 2010 and 2002 World Cup respectively.
Both champions shared their feelings for the event, Kaká commenting: "It is an incredible honor to be part of the first stop of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour, presented by Coca-Cola. My first FIFA World Cup™ as a player it was when I was 20 years old, and that moment is still fresh in my memory, for me it was a dream come true". For his part, Casillas said: "It was the highlight of my career when I lifted this trophy as captain Spain in 2010. And it's exciting that this year, someone can experience that feeling in Qatar. It fills me with pride to join all of you today, as we begin the journey of the FIFA World Cup Trophy, bringing it to fans around the world."
