Saucony and Dunkin Donuts team up for the Boston Marathon
Tokyo, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York and Boston make up the World Marathon Majors, the most precious challenge for marathon runners from around the world. The six cities present extraordinary landscapes but each of them differs from the other by its slopes, its climate and even its streets, which make them unique. In just a few weeks, Boston will dress up to receive thousands of people who will challenge their paths but brands do not want to miss a minute to take advantage of the boom. As in 2018, Saucony and Dunkin Donuts (neither of the two sponsors of the marathon) come together to attract the attention of visitors with the launch of a shoe operated with drawings of donuts.
The chosen shoe model was the Kinvara 10, one of the best known of the brand and one of the most sought by runners for the lightness and ability to generate performance. The silhouette of the Kinvara 10 remains intact, but it enjoys the addition of playful elements. The classic and instantly familiar pink and orange palette of the Dunkin Donuts influences the whole shoe aesthetic, with a strawberry donut placed at the bottom of the cord. Other details are the language, which has a cup of coffee from the brand of donuts, and the reflective word "Boston", which appears stamped on the heel.
This model can only be obtained online, at an estimated price of US $ 120 ($ 5000) and the children's version is offered at US $ 60 ($ 2500).
