Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul became one of the most-watched sporting events in history

Netflix, the platform that exclusively streamed the event, announced that the fight peaked at 65 million concurrent viewers, with an average of 60 million.

It is worth noting that last Friday’s event marked the platform’s first venture into live combat sports, setting another record. The box office revenue surpassed $18 million, doubling the previous record for a combat sports event in Texas.

Additionally, this event ranked among the top 10 most-watched sporting events in history, currently sitting at 10th place. The list is topped by the 2022 Qatar World Cup final between Argentina and France, which gathered a record-breaking global audience of 5 billion people.
