LaLiga presented Fernando Redondo as the new ambassador

Fernando Redondo, former player of Real Madrid and C.D. Tenerife was presented today as the new ambassador of LaLiga. Fernando joins the LaLiga Ambassadors Program with other stars of the competition such as Carles Puyol, Karembeu, Carlos Valderrama, Ferlan, Mendieta, among others.
"It is a great honor and a great responsibility to transmit the values ​​that LaLiga has, in which I believe fervently, such as nonviolence, respect, inclusion, solidarity ... Football is ideal to transmit those values", commented Fernando Round.


Fernando Redondo made his first steps in the Social and Sports Club 9 de Julio de Adrogué, both in Argentina. In 1990 he signed for C.D. Tenerife, where he made great performances and four years later came to Real Madrid C.F. By force of great performances, it became one of the great idols and referents of the Merengue, besides being a captain for a prolonged time.


With the white shirt he won two local leagues (94 / 95-96 / 97), one Supercopa de España (1997), two Champions League (1998-2000) and one Intercontinental Cup (1998).
