ESPN to broadcast Premier League through 2031

The American sports network has renewed its agreement with the English league for South America and the Caribbean.

According to the British newspaper The Guardian, ESPN will pay a total of £450 million, marking a 25% increase over the previous contract. A key driver for this hike is the Premier League's soaring popularity fueled by the significant number of South American stars in the division.

All league matches will be available via ESPN and Disney+. In Mexico and Central America, coverage will remain on platforms such as HBO Max and TNT Sports.

ESPN has been broadcasting the Premier League in Argentina and South America since 1996. In 2021, with the launch of Star+, it secured total exclusivity for all matches in the region.
