Rafael Nadal will open a tennis academy in Kuwait

Tennis player Rafael Nadal will open a headquarters of his academy in Kuwait. The project will seek to boost learning in this area of ​​the Middle East from February 2020, when the facilities are inaugurated.

For the academy to be a fact, the Kuwait Tennis Federation partnered with the institution led by Rafael Nadal. In addition to the Tamdeem real estate group that will invest in the project. "Rafa Nadal Academy" will be a 263,000 square meter property with 18 first level courts. The training camp will have two courts ready to receive public: the main one for five thousand people and the secondary one for one thousand two hundred. It will also have a gym and a lounge, where players can follow nutritional advice given by the academy.

"We are working very hard to design an appropriate comprehensive training program for all users of any age and ensure the integration of this pioneering project for tennis in this country," Nadal said. The complex will be run by Nuno Marques, former player and current captain of the Davis Cup team in Portugal.
