CONMEBOL highlighted, among other things, that the year 2022 marked a new record in terms of payments for participation and prizes, with a total of 254 million dollars, and the high percentage of reinvestment of income for the development of football in our continent.

As for the money that will be received in the 2023 period, 98% (500 million) corresponds to income from tournaments, while the expenditures made are more divided, but most of it (approximately 461 million) is also linked to the organization of tournaments and corresponds to prizes for participation and sporting merit in all male and female competitions and logistical issues and the general preparation of the matches.

On the other hand, the budget includes a section of Planned Investments for 2023, among which 50 million dollars projected for the construction of the CONMEBOL Stadium in Asunción, with capacity for 45 thousand spectators and the chance to expand it to 60 thousand if The joint candidacy of Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile to host the 2030 World Cup prospers.
