Adidas celebrates “Black History Month” with a special jersey in MLS
It was created in collaboration with a Canadian artist for Vancouver Whitecaps, one of the league’s franchises.
The jersey design is predominantly black, featuring details in Pan-African colors (red, yellow, and green), along with a crest and numbers inspired by the month. Black History Month is celebrated in February in North America as a tribute to important events and figures in the African American diaspora.
This is not the first time Adidas has created a commemorative garment in MLS. In previous seasons, the brand released pre-match jerseys celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and LGBT Pride.
